January Meeting

Get ready to learn something new or brush up your existing skills in 2022!
Our January speaker, Cathryn Scott will be teaching you the basics of Machine Quilting with rulers.She will cover the setup and tools used for machine quilting using ruler templates on your home sewing machine, sit-down or movable longarm, noting where there are differences in usage between machines. 

Subjects include:    Preparing your machine for quilting    Tools needed for your desired outcome (needles, thread, ruler feet, markers, templates)    Cause and possible solutions for frustrating tension issues
Her talk will be in preparation for her January 29th virtual workshop that will be available to all Stray Threads members at no charge. Stay tuned for more information about the workshop. Cathryn has supplied us with a comprehensive supply list and instructions for preparing samples for the class that will be shared with all members.

April 1st Guild Meeting

The STQG Speaker Committee has a wonderful speaker for the April 1st guild meeting. You won’t want to miss it!

Presenting Edyta Sitar

Edyta is originally from Poland where she developed a passion for fabric that would later unfold into a consummate gift. With the help of her mother-in-law, Carol, and grandmother-in-law, Ann, Edyta learned over the quilt frame the ins and outs of quilting as well as the ups and downs of life. Her children and husband, Michael are her inspiration. Edyta’s intuitive feel for fabric, keen eye for color and family teachings all contribute to her amazing quilts and natural evolution to pattern and fabric designing.
