October Meeting

Join us for our October ZOOM guild meeting, October 7th at 7:00pm (waiting room opens 6:45). Members receive Zoom link via email.

Our guest speaker this month is Cathryn Scott who will speak about her efforts to enter a quilt in the AQS Quilt Show in Paducah, KY.  Her program is titled “Journey to Paducah“.

In 2005, Cathryn Scott signed up for a block of the month quilt at a local quilt store. Needing a way to quilt the project like the awesome ones she saw in an AQS Quilt Magazine, she bought a Gammill LongArm and unexpectedly uncovered a new passion.   As a habit from working in a corporate environment, Cathryn sets goals and after completing her second quilt, set a goal that someday she would have a guilt hanging at an AQS Paducah Quilt Show. Her talk is that Journey, sharing what show Judges and Juries look for, along with tips and techniques she learned along the way.

July Meeting

Our July speaker is JoAnn Shaw representing Ryan’s Case for Smiles. This wonderful organization provides pillowcases to kids battling medical illnesses, in particular cancer. Many of our members have made pillowcases for this cause.
