Take a look at the results some of our members had with the Barn Slice Quilt project!
The Barn Slice Quilt Project offered individual choices and minimal restrictions. It involved swapping quilt parts, sort of like a Round Robin. The project used an enlarged photograph of a barn as a quilt pattern. The pattern consisted of four equal sized vertical slices. Each quilter constructed all four slices of the quilt top individually. They kept their own B slice and swapped the A, C and D slices with the other quilters. When each quilter received their swapped slices they proceeded with quilt construction, finishing techniques, borders, quilting, and any other desired amendments.
Our October meeting will feature a show & tell of these quilts. Participants who complete their quilt will be eligible to win a gift certificate from Gathering Fabric.
